Planning a trip to Croatia? Here you'll find our 2 day-by-day itineraries (Dalmatia (Split, Dubrovnik), Islands (Hvar, Brac, Korcula), Plitvice and Krka, Istria (Rovinj, Pula), Kvarner (Rijeka, Opatija), Zagreb), plus the essential practical info to organise your journey.
The coast has a Mediterranean climate: hot dry summers, mild winters. The interior (Zagreb, Plitvice) is continental, with sharp swings and cold winters. The best times are May-June and September, with good weather, a sea that is already (or still) pleasant, fewer crowds and lower prices than the July-August peak.
